I just got "upgraded" to VDSL (from ADSL) by Belgacom. The technician installed a new modem (Sagemcom CS50001) to achieve this upgrade. I am having a few problems and hoping others have seen the same issue and may point me towards a solution.
- The BBox-3 in bridge-mode works OK but I am having issues with VoIP SIP calls. I have an ASUS RT-N16 router initiating the PPPoE session and sitting behind the modem. With my old BBox-2 setup, I had no issue with the BBox-2 in bridge-mode. However with the new BBox-3 in bridge-mode, I can't seem to make outgoing calls. To be clear, I have a DID/SIP account with future-nine and use a softphone app on my mobile device
- Because of the SIP issues, I eliminated the ASUS RT-N16 router from the picture and am using the BBox-3 as a wireless router. I have sporadic connectivity issues even on 5.2 Ghz and also video streaming is chopping with the BBox-3 (lots of buffering issues etc).
- Anyone else see these issues with the Bbox-3? Any workaround or alternatives to the seemingly unreliable Bbox-3?
