Hello,
I have configures a voip provider in the b-box 3.
I can make and receive calls. No problem BUT the calls drops , gets disconnected every two to three minutes.
The same VOIP provider was configured on a different device for years and no glitches (I had a fritzbox and I HAD to replaced it with a b-box3) .
Any suggestion?
Any chance to have access to some advanced settings in the b-box3 (e.g. codec type...).
Thank you !!!
Tibia

If you still have your FritzBox, I would recommend to use it.
Just let us know:
- if you are on VDSL2 or Fiber.
- which type of Fritz!Box (and Firmware) you have.
- In case your Fritz!Box is on the Proximus whitelist, you can use the Fritz!Box on a VDSL2 line in stead of the b-box.
- In case your Fritz!Box is not whitelisted, you can use it as a router behind the Proximus B-box.

VoIP: EDPnet (gratis vaste lijn), Sipgate.de, Sipgate.co.uk, MegaVoip.

Modem/Router: Fritz!Box 5590 Fiber, OS 8.03, Fritz!SFP GPON aangesloten op Proximus ONTP.
Telefoon centrale: Euracom 181 achter FritzBox So. 3 Fritz!DECT toestellen

Thank you for helping.
My fritz does not support VDSL2, so I used to have it behind the b-box , with voip configured in the fritz , and I was living a happy life !!!!
Then why change it, you may ask ? because the new android tv box that I got from proximus does not work with the ftriz as a router.
More in details, the android tv works in terms of channels, but :
- it says "network connection issue" at every start . I can proceed with "work offline" and I can see all TV channels BUT all the information about the programs are not available.
It appears to me that android tv can connect for the video, but all numerical data are via internet and ... guess who is using the internet VLAN ? the fritz.
So I tried to remove the fritz, reset the b-box, and configure my voip on the b-box.
Is it too much to ask to the b-box to handle a voip connection ?
If you tell me it is too much to ask, then I have to buy a fritz compatible with VDSL2
Thank
Tiberio

One option that may work is to use the Fritz!box as "IP Client" behind the b-box:
- - the Fritz!Box will receive a local IP adress from the b-box.
- LAN ports will work as a switch, you should be able to connect the TV-box to your local network.
- VoIP should work (you may need to change the VoIP port on the B-box (e.g. from 5060 tot 5062).
- - VDSL lines are automatically converted to "single VLAN" if you connect a new "internet box" (aka b-box4) to the line.
- in that case there is no PPPoE any more (VLAN10), but one single VLAN (DHCP/VLAN20) for internet, voice and TV.
- TV decoders seem to work with the Fritz!Box on a "single VLAN" line: https://userbase.be/forum/viewtopic.php ... 38#p942438
