Ik ben aan het zien om een switchke te steken op zolder, wetende dat ik overal cat 6 getrokken heb.
Cat 6 is backwards compatibel met cat5 dus geen probleem, maar haal ik profijt uit een switch die 1000 base TX ipv de gewone 1000 base T ?
ik dacht eerst aan de D-Link DGS-1008D/E, maar twijfel nu of ik voor een 1000 base TX zou moeten gaan ?

The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) created and promoted a standard similar to 1000BASE-T that was simpler to implement, calling it 1000BASE-TX (TIA/EIA-854).[15] The simplified design would have, in theory, reduced the cost of the required electronics by only using two unidirectional pairs in each direction instead of 4 bidirectional. However, this solution has been a commercial failure, likely due to the required Category 6 cabling and the rapidly falling cost of 1000BASE-T products.
