SMP client onder Vista in gang krijgen?

hi peepz,

ik probeer op mijn core2duo 6600 machine onder vista de SMP client in gang te krijgen, echter krijg ik steeds de volgende foutmelding:

poort 8676 staat in mijn router echter wel geforwarded (tcp+udp) en op dezelfde machine draait dezelfde SMP client perfect onder win xp pro sp2 nl (ik heb dus een dualboot systeem, xp gebruik ik echter enkel nog voor wat games). De vista firewall uitschakelen helpt ook niet. Iemand een idee hoe ik mijn SMP in gang getrapt krijg?

Then run install.bat in the installation directory to complete the install process. The client is started by running the fah.exe binary.

Nog niet, aangezien hij vastloopt tijdens de install.bat :s
Op mijn xp machine is het alleszinds wel succesvol gelukt dus ik kan me niet inbeelden dat ik iets over het hoofd zie. Ik gebruik bij install.bat ook de user+pass van windows zoals ergens vermeld wordt in de faq. Ik vermoed dat het probleem zich ergens situeert bij de overkritische beveiligingsinstellingen van vista maar ik vind maar niet de welke...

nope, zo gaat het ook niet
en ik heb altijd alles als admin uitgevoerd btw
edit: en de gewone graphic client (5.03) werkt wel normaal dus voorlopig gebruik ik die maar...

ok, user acces control uitgeschakeld en alles loopt vlotjes nu met de SMP client

Als je de install.bat wilt uitvoeren onder Vista moet je een command prompt openen als administrator.

Dus ipv via start-programs links te clicken, click je rechts en kies je 'Run as Administrator'

In die command prompt zal install.bat wel lukken.

Als je client daarna blijft draaien maar je ziet de procenten niet verhogen moet je je gebruiker owner maken van de Folding SMP map in "C:\Program Files"

Daarna zou het moeten werken. UAC uitschakelen gaat natuurlijk ook maar dan zet je eigenlijk het grootste stuk van de Vista beveiliging af ...

Ik moet er wel aan toevoegen dat ik na 1 maand sukkelen met allerhande programma's de UAC ook definitief afgezet heb hoor
