As of 15/03/2007 dommel.com will introduce the next-generation of our dsl-counter. This counter will update every 5 minutes, thus showing you in real time the traffic that you have used and is "happy hours" compatible. It will also be the first and only dsl-counter nationwide that only counts ip-traffic instead of atm-traffic. Traditionally ISPS count ATM-cells to decide how much traffic was used on a given line. This is not fair to the end-user since ATM has a 5/53 or 11% overhead. Dommel has teamed with Juniper to find a solution that gets rid of this overhead while counting the traffic used on a subscriberline. This will also indicate that as of 15/03 all accounts will have 11% more download-capacity within the same monthly limit.
