protocolprobleem??

hoi, ik gebruik versatel met een usbmodem, maar nu kan ik niet meer inloggen, krijg telkens de melding: "fout 720: de pc & de externe pc kunnen overeenstemming maken via ppp-protocollen (zie attachment)

wat moet ik doen?

Misschien eens je driver herinstalleren? Ik heb die fout nog nooit gezien eigenlijk.

verwijder alle protocollen en installeer ze opnieuw

Kijk hier eens naar, is in het Engels (niet foutloos) maar heeft blijkbaar heel wat mensen met een "720 probleem" geholpen.

Wees voorzichtig wat je moet ondermeer met de registry aan de slag!

I have just discover a new workaround for the problem that works! (for
those that tried everything with no positive results)

I supouse that this should work for those that have the WAN
Miniport(IP)#x banged in device manager. (I get this device banged
afeter reinstaling tcp/ip)

I have done a millon of thing but I thing this is the procedure. Let
mi know how it works.

1. Go to device manager
2. Click on View, Show hidden devices
3. Look at all the WAN Miniport(IP) devices and diferentiate the
banged one
4. Open regedt32 (this is no regedit)
5. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\Root\MS_NDISWANIP
6. Here I have two subkeys: 0000 and 0001. The trick is to delete the
one that is NOT banged (without the exclamation mark) in device
manager so the banged one can start working. In my case the NOT banged
was 0000. Look in the DeviceDesc value to figure out wich is the NOT
banged. But you can't simple delete it. Permisions must be set and
thats why the device cant be deleted directly form device manager.
7. Select the key corresponding to the NOT banger WAN Miniport(IP)
device (0000 in my Win2000), click on security, permisions, advanced,
add, double click on everyone, set permision to delete (allow column),
ok, ok, ok.
8. Delete the key.
9. Open device manager. Double click on the banged WAN Miniport(IP),
click on the driver tab, update driver, next, select to display a list
(dont let windows search), and double click on the item WAN
Miniport(IP) to reinstall the driver.

And thats all, I don't even have to restart my system. The error 720
was gone!
