From DSL to fiber. Which ONT and PoN are currently installed?

Hi
I'm thinking in switching from DSL to fiber and I have a few questions:
- They give you a public IP number (IPv4) that only changes if you restart the router, right?
- They don't give you a private IP number (IPv4), meaning that you are NOT behind a CG NAT, right?
In my case, they will make a hole in the wall of my apartment to introduce the fiber from one of those small black boxes you can see in the external walls of many Brussels streets. How do the ONT and PoN look that they install inside? Does somebody have a pic of their setup they would like to share?
Cheers

Which provider will you use? (fiber and isp?)

Please check
How is Fiber installed
Basic installation consists of 3 elements:
- ONTP (fiber termination point).
- XGS-PON ONT (the fiber modem).
- Internet Box (the router)
For pictures, check Google for "ONTP", "ONT" and "Internet Box"

You will receive:
- a dynamic public IPv4 adress, that can change if you restart the router. However, mostly it remains unchanged.
- a IPv6 /64 adress (SLAAC)
- a IPv6 /56 Prefix (PD)

Normally it is not CGNAT. In some cases Proximus is using CGNAT, but you can allways opt-out.
Basically you have 3 options to run your local network:
- using the provider router (Proximus Internet Box): your devices will be behind a NAT
- using your own router behind the Internet Box: you can activate the "bridge" mode via "My Proximus" for your own router to obtain a public IPv4 adress (and also Ipv6).
- connecting your own router directly on the ONT (bypassing the Proximus router). In this case you need to set the VLAN-ID 20).
Later this year it will be allowed to use your own Fibermodem (in stead of the providers ONT)
.

Good question
In my answer above, I was assuming Proximus (Fiber) and Proximus (ISP)

The ISP ist EDPnet. I'm already with them with DSL. I guess fiber it's provided by Proximus, since EDPnet belongs to them.

I'm thinking in using a raspberry pi with OpenWrt as a neutral router with EDPnet after the PoN. But I'll first use the FritzBox 7530 that I already have from EDPnet.
I understand that Proximus provides the hardware (ONT and PoN) and that they've changed from a 4 Ethernet-port PoN to a 1 Ethernet-port PoN.
