Ik heb hen nog serieus overwogen omdat iDrive niet van de rapste is.
Maar goed, iDrive bestaat nog en hubic binnenkort niet meer.

Een gratis alternatief van 25GB (zoals hubiC) bestaat er niet denk ik.

Ja, ooit overwogen dit te gebruiken, dus account aangemaakt.
Lekker veel gratis dataopslag.
Spijtig dat ze ermee stoppen, maar begrijp het wel een beetje, die gratis dataopslag genereert niet veel inkomsten voor OVH.
Ze creëren iets nieuws blijkbaar ? Verder niet uitgezocht hoe en wat.

iig, ik heb een betalend account van 10TB voor €55 per jaar, ik hoop ten zeerste dat het niet gesloten wordt.

Mail gekregen hubiC stopt ook voor mij betaald abonnement. Pas voor een jaar betaald in april.

Nog steeds een tevreden Crashplan gebruiker (maar dat is eerder een backup oplossing dan een externe drive).
Is wel unlimited storage.

Ik heb al een paar jaar iDrive. Van toen het plan nog 1000GB was. Recent hebben ze dat opgetrokken tot 2000GB.
Op zich niet verkeerd, maar niet van de snelste.
Wel handig dat je onbeperkt aantal toestellen mag toevoegen. Zo worden mijn gsm en die van de dochters ook geback-upt.
Hetgeen ik ook handig vind is dat je nog eens zoveel ruimte krijgt in de synch map, dus het systeem van google drive.
Ze hebben een 10GB plan dat gratis is om te proberen.

gebruik hier Pcloud lifetime 2Tb zeer tevreden van + google foto's maar uploaden in hun aangepaste kwaliteit welke zeer goed is ( gratis )

Ik heb een mail gestuurd om een deel geld terug te vragen, 1/4 1 jaar automatisch vernieuwd, dan vanaf 22/8 is het gedaan.
Ga niet een gans jaar betalen.

Denk dat je dag van vandaag beter in NAS investeert of Pcloud,jottacloud,amazon,.. afhankelijk wat je wil opslaan hier voornamelijk foto's 730GB momenteel
ik overweeg amazon omdat je daar onbeperkt foto's kan doen maar onbeperkt tja hoelang blijft dit duren, voorlopig, HDD + PC en Pcloud

Heeft iemand ervaring met Jottacloud? Unlimited storage voor 80 EUR/jaar lijkt mij wel straf...

Thanks, ziet er ook goed uit. Bij de personal unlimited staat er wel "Upload speed is reduced if storage exceeds 5TB"
Voordeel is ook dat het een Noors bedrijf is dus in Europa.

Een account aangemaakt met gratis 5GB om te testen.
Heb 4,97GB W10 iso geupload ging in juist 19min, dus 4,4MB/sec.
Lijkt dus gelimiteerd te worden door de max. upload snelheid van 40Mbit van mijn internetabonnement.

Theorie zegt dus eigenlijk 5TB voor 80euro maar nadien cappen je ze snelheid

Hetgeen ik daar niet onmiddellijk zie staan is versioning. Iets wat je sowieso nodig hebt als je het als backup ziet.
Dat heeft me al verschillende keren serieus goed geholpen.
