BBOX3 Firmware (Sorry for english)

Hello All,

Half a year ago i bought a Technicolor BBOX3 on a flee market for like 2 EUR, used it as an extra AP for a while and was trying to hack it so can be used for more (Proximus settings does not help in Hungary) but gave it up.
Last week got a replacement router and also had a bit of time playing with the BBOX3 without loosing the connectivity. It took three days, but finally it gave it in (Unlike Telekom boxes which usually take 5 min to gain access, Proximus seems pretty crazy on security, i never seen chrooted environment on a router before ;)).

So now iam "Expert" (root rather as Expert kinda limited), and trying to find an upgrade image which i can upload to the box, as ACS upgrade does not work seems like acs.belgacom.be geolocked and the box cant phone home. :(

Also trying to figure out , how to access Quantenna SoC, seems like Technicolor disabled shell access, but "fixing" that and issueing reboot command to the SoC with qcsapi makes the whole box go down too (most likely their linux_appl.exe (lol) bloatware not prepared for such scenario :()

actually you are (un)lucky to have no access to the ACS, as Proximus pushes every time a new password to the box when connected. And unfortunately this is the only way to get a new SW release, as the HW is dedicated Technicolor, and builds are signed for this platform and only provided to Proximus. Even Flash and SoC are "interconnected" such that resoldering another flash chip won't work. You'd better try for the generic flavours of the Technicolor modems if you would like to play with it (TG589n or ac depending on the WiFi-version, or TG789n or ac for the voice variant of the b-box3v)

Thanks, was hoped it was one of the openwrt based technicolor boxes and now have a TP-Link C7 with openwrt still was trying to find some use for it. Going to try and figure out if can get it load different Quantenna firmware as ARC700 is supported by openwrt
(It seems to have better AC WiFi than the TP-Link one)
And to see if I can figure out their bootloader as it seems like router have two rootfs partition (one that active and another with the previous firmware) that would still open up some possibilities.
