NEWBIE: PROXIMUS bbox3v+) Turnkeylinux LAMP on Linux Mint > Port mapping?

Hi there,

I am new to hosting my own webserver.

My setup:
> Running Linux Mint
> Turnkeylinux LAMP in VirtualBox
> Can reach my server on the LAN: 192.168.1.22

Did some routing in my router (192.168.1.1) (type of router: bbox3v+):


So now i have to be online. Found my ip on the command line: dig +short myip.opendns.com @resolver1.opendns.com
Result: 87.65.61.84

Still can not reach my webpage. (put the ip (87.65.61.84) in my browser) What should i do? Can someone give me tips please? Thanks!

Also tested this command:
$ nc -zvw3 87.65.61.84 80
nc: connect to 87.65.61.84 port 80 (tcp) timed out: Operation now in progress

normally the output has to be:
failed: Connection refused
OR
succeeded!

Don't know why i get a timed out on the Proximus router :-/

The standard routing of the proximus network blocks ports 80, 443 and 23.
You can open these ports in myproximus under the settings for your internet: low security.

Nothing to do with your modem
For security reasons, Proximus blocks some ports by default on your Internet Connection:

You can open incoming traffic on ports 23/80/443 via My Proximus:

• - Login to "My Proximus"
  - Goto My Products > Display and manage my Internet options
  - Scroll down to Settings > Securing your modem
  - Tick the option "low security" to open ports 23/80/443

This is on your own risk, and will allow hackers to scan your ports and try to get in.

This worked for me in the past but then anymore. Activated Low Security, yet port 80 remained closed. Portforwarding was correctly configured. Modem restart didn't help. Modem restart did help!
